BGF has appointed Simon Calver (former CEO of Lovefilm and Mothercare), along with Harry Briggs (Balderton Capital) and Rory Stirling (MMC Ventures) to lead its new venture capital fund. BGF CEO Stephen Welton believes this move vitally extends support for start-ups beyond the current ‘London-centric’ market.
