Bullitt features in LSE 1,000 Companies to Inspire
On Monday 9 March 2015, London Stock Exchange Group launched 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain, an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.
As well as identifying 1000 companies, the report examines in detail the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs and looks at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the UK economy.
Britain is home to some of the most exciting and talented entrepreneurial businesses in the world. The London Stock Exchange Group’s Companies to Inspire Britain celebrates a thousand of them – and it’s the reason BGF is so pleased to be involved.
You will have heard of some of the people running these companies, others not. BGF’s has a number of its portfolio companies present in the list including AFG Media, Barburrito, Benefex, Bullitt, SHS, TCL, Unruly, Wear Inns. What they all have in common is the talent and tenacity to take risks, create jobs and boost the economy. They are the country’s business heroes, and their long-term success depends on having the means and confidence to grow.
In fact, they are the reason BGF exists: to provide support and capital to help them to fulfil their potential. And we’re not alone. Financiers, industry bodies and politicians are working to build an infrastructure that can support the big businesses of tomorrow. A good example is the LSE Group’s ELITE Programme which is unearthing hidden gems and helping entrepreneurs prepare for fundraising.
