Globalisation on pause? How scaleups can navigate today's uncertainty9:30 am - 10:30 am
Stripe & Stare, a company for women by women, was founded in 2017 with the belief that nothing great was ever achieved in uncomfortable underwear. The business is taking on a market that was dominated by traditional players who were not addressing the real demands of today’s women. With a focus on sustainability – only 3% of the underwear market is sustainably sourced – not great for a product we wear every day and cannot buy second-hand.
Stripe & Stare knickers have been described as the most comfortable in the world by magazines such as The Times, Forbes and Harper’s Bazaar and are firm favourites of women such as Fearne Cotton, Poppy Delevingne and Pandora Sykes. Using a hybrid model of wholesale and DTC, Stripe & Stare have seen rapid digital growth and stock to leading retailers globally.
