Richard Brice

Richard joined BGF in January 2011 to establish the finance function. In August 2011 he was appointed Head of Finance with responsibility for BGF internal and statutory reporting.  He also leads the reporting of portfolio company performance and valuation of BGF’s investments.

Richard began his career working for a number of small accountancy practices during which time he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.  He joined 3i in 2001 reporting performance of unquoted investment funds to external investors during which time he gained significant exposure to investments in unquoted companies.

Richard left 3i in 2006 as part of the reorganisation of the finance team and spent 5 years working on a number of projects for Smiths Aerospace, GE Aviation and Technicolor’s DVD manufacturing and distribution business.

Richard also has a BSc in Electronic Engineering & Physics from Loughborough University of Technology.  He is married with three sons and lives in Birmingham.  He enjoys spending time in his caravan and has recently taken up cycling to improve his fitness.
