BGF’s London team supports Little Village

Last week, BGF’s London investment team spent a day volunteering for Little Village, a charity that supports families across 22 London boroughs. Little Village provides baby clothes and equipment to families in need through its baby banks. We’re proud to be supporting Little Village through our social impact days, following a community grant made by the BGF Foundation.

The BGF Foundation is an independent charitable foundation, backed by funding from BGF. It supports small and mid-sized charities in the UK that are focused on improving the lives of disadvantaged children, young people and adults.

Through a combination of flexible financial support and non-financial expertise from BGF, our portfolio, and our non-exec network, we’re helping these charities to grow sustainably and deliver a meaningful impact.

Since its launch in 2016, Little Village has fulfilled more than 32,000 requests for support, and provided more than £9.8m worth of items via its baby banks. As volunteers at Little Village, our team helped with donation sorting, selecting and packing items, welcoming families, and establishing what each family needed.

Dylan Kaye, BGF’s London Origination team said: We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Little Village HQ. The Little Village team were incredibly helpful and ensured the day was a great success. It was a privilege to play a small part in their brilliant work for the local community and we’re looking forward to returning later this year, to continue supporting Little Village’s mission of helping families in need.”

The BGF Foundation are working with companies to provide pro-bono support for charities like Little Village. If you’d like to discuss how your team might support charities across the UK, please get in touch with Charlotte Moses Rains at charlotte.mosesrains@bgffoundation.org.uk
