Barburrito is continuing its expansion drive with the opening of a new site Hammersmith and two further sites secured in Edinburgh and Derby.
With a successful launch in Hammersmith Broadway shopping centre last week, the business now operates 13 sites under the Barburrito brand. The next site is already in development, with a planned opening at intu Metrocentre Gateshead at the end of March.
In October 2015, the business also acquired Pinto Mexican Kitchen in Scotland; five restaurants that are positioned in high footfall locations in Edinburgh and Glasgow. Plans are on track to rebrand and transition to the new look Barburrito before summer 2016.
Barburrito has also exchanged contracts on a sixth site in Scotland. The property is positioned on Forrest Road, Edinburgh close to the University, Quartermile and The Meadows. Work is due to start on site in the summer, with a target opening early autumn.
In parallel, Barburrito can also confirm that is has exchanged on a site at intu Derby, targeted for a mid-2017 opening, taking the total estate to 21 restaurants nationally.
Backed by growth capital provider BGF, Barburrito is targeting a further ten sites over the next two years.
