Decision Tech buys

Decision Tech, a performance marketing and data company that owns and operates, has acquired for an undisclosed sum as it continues to expand its breadth of services and data products. The move comes just three months after Decision Tech completed the acquisition of, and strengthens the Group’s presence in the mobile handset recycling market.

The acquisition makes Decision Tech the UK’s most used price comparison service for consumers and businesses trading in mobiles and other gadgets. Decision Tech, will use this latest acquisition to develop its proposition in two key areas:

  • Firstly, to expand the suite of data insight products and services already offered by, to enable other businesses to make smarter decisions; and
  • Secondly, will become Decision Tech’s main price comparison website for mobile handsets, sim-only tariffs and ancillary services like mobile insurance, SIM unlocking, repairs and accessories.

Founded in March 2005, Decision Tech is actively seeking further acquisitions to bolsters its portfolio of brands and products to spearhead its growth and diversification plans. The company’s growth strategy is being supported by long-term funding from BGF (Business Growth Fund), which provided a £10m investment in 2012 and became a minority partner in the business.
