Justin Madders, MP for Ellesmere Port & Bromborough and Minister for Employment Rights, visited the Bromborough headquarters of Evoke Creative last week — to meet the team, see the company’s latest innovations in digital kiosks and signage, and hear about its plans for future growth.

The visit follows a strong year for Evoke, which reported 20% revenue growth and an uplift in EBITDA (year ending March 2025), driven by strategic wins and expansion into new markets.

The business recently delivered a £4 million automated check-in and concierge solution to Premier Inn – part of Whitbread – and is rolling out its technology across 980 Subway locations as part of a UK-wide deployment. Evoke has also diversified into sectors such as betting and gaming, now generating over £2 million in annual revenues.

“Evoke is a great example of a local company with national and international impact. It’s exciting to see the results of sustained innovation and hear how strategic investment is helping to drive growth, create jobs, and put Wirral businesses on the map.”

Founded in Wirral in 2009, Evoke is backed by growth capital investor BGF. First investing in the business in 2018, BGF has provided follow-on funding to Evoke, to help scale the business across the UK and internationally. This partnership reflects the broader power of private capital to fuel regional growth.

“We were proud to welcome Justin Madders MP to our HQ, and show how a growing UK manufacturing business can deliver innovation at scale. This past year has seen us expand into new sectors and win landmark contracts, with BGF’s long-term support playing a crucial role in enabling that growth.”

BGF recently announced a new £3 billion commitment to support high-potential companies across the UK, over the next five years – a significant increase from the £2.3 billion it deployed between 2020 and 2024. The funding is designed to help scaleups and early-stage businesses reach their full potential, with at least £400 million earmarked for companies in the North West of England.

Matt Widdall, Investor at BGF, said: “Evoke’s journey shows the kind of impact that growth capital can have, when matched with a bold and capable team. We’re proud to have backed them over the past seven years.” He continued: “The North West is home to some of the most exciting and ambitious companies in the UK, and with £400 million committed across the region over the next five years, we’re looking forward to backing the next wave of scaleups driving innovation and economic progress.”

Data from the BVCA shows that private capital supports over 2,700 jobs in the Ellesmere Port and Bromborough constituency. In the wider region, private capital-backed businesses in the North West support 247,000 jobs and contribute £16 billion to the region’s GDP.

Michael Moore, BVCA Chief Executive, commented: “Evoke Creative is a prime example of a business that has harnessed the support of private capital to achieve financial success, deliver innovation, and support the local economy. Private capital is a partner for economic growth, supporting thousands of jobs in the North West and across the UK. Our industry backs the most innovative businesses, supporting local economies in every nation and region.”
