Company overview

3sun Group is a specialist provider of products and services to the global renewable energy industry.

During BGF’s investment, 3sun Group grew its position in the renewables sector to become one of the leading providers of engineering services to offshore wind farms in the UK and Europe and won contracts with numerous companies, including the assembly of 56 turbine towers for the £1.5bn Galloper Offshore Wind Farm. The Group now employs more than 200 people, reaching £23m of turnover in 2018.

In 2019, 3sun Group was acquired by Worley Ltd, the Australian-listed supplier of project and asset services for the energy, chemicals and resources sector.
