Spencer Woods

Biography

Spencer joined BGF in March 2019 and is based in Manchester. Spencer is involved in all aspects of the investment process from identification through to completion, as well as continuing to work with the boards of BGF investee companies.

Prior to joining BGF, Spencer was part of the Investment and Portfolio team at Wheatsheaf Group, an investor into food and agriculture sectors. Prior to this, he worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers in their Corporate Finance team advising owner managers, corporates and private equity clients on a range of mid-market M&A transactions.

Spencer is a Chartered Accountant with ICAEW and graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Geography. Outside of work, Spencer is a keen sportsman and enjoys golf, football and running. He lives in Manchester with his wife and child.
