Commercial milestones
Following our initial investment, HeleCloud expanded its services portfolio, enhanced its capabilities, and embarked on a journey to grow its presence across Europe. The funding enabled HeleCloud to invest in talent, technology, and infrastructure to support its growth aspirations.
Later on, HeleCloud leveraged follow-on investment from our team, to execute two strategic acquisitions: first OlinData, an AWS consultancy firm in the Netherlands, followed by DataStork, a cloud software engineering and AI services company in Bulgaria. These acquisitions bolstered HeleCloud’s expertise, expanded its geographic reach, and strengthened its position as a leading AWS partner in Europe.
And two years into our partnership, HeleCloud achieved Premier Consulting Partner Status in the AWS Partner Network. This is a prestigious designation, reserved for top-tier AWS partners, with demonstrated expertise and success in delivering AWS solutions. The recognition positioned HeleCloud as a trusted partner for global companies and market disruptors seeking innovative cloud solutions.

As well as funding, we played a key role in HeleCloud’s international expansion, providing strategic M&A guidance to strengthen the company’s presence across Europe. Through our portfolio network, HeleCloud also gained valuable cross-selling and partnership opportunities, particularly around Middle Eastern expansion.
Meanwhile, we helped to professionalise the company’s operations, by introducing relevant experience and expertise to the boardroom. This contributed to HeleCloud achieving its AWS Premier Consulting Partner Status.
Exit route
Three years on from our initial investment, HeleCloud was acquired by SoftwareONE, a Swiss multinational and leading provider of end-to-end software and Cloud solutions. The acquisition validated HeleCloud’s strategic positioning, strong market presence, and exceptional growth trajectory. It also provided significant returns to HeleCloud’s shareholders, highlighting the success of our partnership and the value created during this investment period.
