Unique X

Each year, Unique X delivers over 200,000 movies and 1.1 billion advertising spots worldwide. Its end-to-end solution digitises cinema management, with SaaS modules enabling centralised control over every aspect of film exhibition.

We originally backed Unique X in 2018, to enable the business to invest in new technologies, expand its suite of products, and grow its global customer base. Over the next five years, it went on to scale significantly with our support, nearly trebling EBITDA from the point of investment to exit.

In 2024, we successfully exited our investment in Unique X, when the company secured new funding of up to $80 million from European capital solutions provider Kartesia. This investment will act as a further catalyst to Unique X’s global growth plans, while the exit delivered strong returns for BGF.
