Operam

Founded in 2017 by resourcing specialists Eddie Austin and Andrew Frome, Operam Education Group is now pursuing an ambitious buy-and-build strategy to expand across the UK.

In 2019, with backing from BGF and HSBC, the group acquired Teachers UK and The Education Specialists. And in 2022, we committed £2.5 million of follow-on funding, to further support Operam’s acquisitive growth strategy, alongside £2.5 million of senior debt from HSBC.

Most recently, the business has acquired Lancashire-based Bridge Education Recruitment, in a deal supported by BGF. An additional £2.5 million investment has also been committed to support future acquisitions, which will take BGF’s total investment in Operam to £9.5 million.
