BGF has appointed Andrew Taylor as Head of Go-to-Market. He joins BGF’s now 17-strong Value Creation team after 15 years in senior commercial and executive roles within high-growth businesses across the UK, Europe, North America and APAC.

Andrew will work closely with management teams across BGF’s portfolio, providing value beyond investment. This will include partnering with portfolio companies to unlock revenue growth opportunities, strengthen commercial strategy and execution, and build scalable go-to-market capabilities across sales, marketing, customer success, partnerships and international expansion.

He brings extensive commercial and first-hand operating experience, most recently as Chief Revenue Officer at PebblePad, where he led the commercial organisation through a period of M&A-led growth, including the integration of an acquired business and expansion into the US market. Prior to this, Andrew held senior leadership roles across high-growth technology businesses and guided two companies through successful exits, including one as Chief Executive Officer.

Andrew Taylor, Head of Go-to-Market at BGF, said: “My experience has been built on helping ambitious founders convert strategic opportunities into measurable commercial outcomes. Having spent all of my career on the operator side within scaling businesses, I know the value of practical support when navigating the next phase of growth.

“The scale of BGF’s portfolio provides a unique opportunity to work alongside management teams on a wide range of commercial priorities, from entering new markets to building the sales and marketing foundations for long-term growth.”

BGF’s Value Creation team partners with portfolio companies to unlock long-term value via access to one of the UK & Ireland’s most extensive networks of business leaders, operational specialists and sector experts. Alongside minority investment, BGF has helped hundreds of businesses develop and deliver successful go-to-market strategies including refinement of value proposition, guidance on pricing strategy and connections to potential customers. Andrew’s appointment further strengthens this capability, following the hire of Michael Hong as GTM Analyst earlier this year.

Through BGF’s Scale programme and platform, portfolio companies also benefit from being part of the BGF community with access to curated events and workshops, practical resources, knowledge-sharing among 300+ scaling businesses, and networking opportunities.

Tracy Bownes, Head of Value Creation at BGF, said: “Andrew’s appointment enhances our proven ability to provide value beyond investment, contributing extensive, first-hand experience of leading high-growth businesses through commercial transformation, international expansion and exit.

“He’ll work closely with management teams across our portfolio, providing practical support to help them reach their ambitions. He is a fantastic addition to our Value Creation team and an important part of how we continue to strengthen the support we give entrepreneurs as a minority investor.”
