BGF has strengthened its Yorkshire and North East team, with the appointment of Rosie Ramsey to its investment team.

Rosie will be based at BGF’s Leeds office and will be responsible for deal origination in Yorkshire and the North East, building strong relationships with ambitious founders and management teams across the two regions, supporting them on the next phase of their growth journey.

Rosie joins BGF from Endless LLP, where she worked as an Investment Manager for nearly four years, helping to deploy capital to SME and mid-market businesses. Rosie, who qualified as a Chartered Accountant at Price Bailey LLP, previously worked at Alembic Strategy, where she gained significant experience working alongside shareholders, entrepreneurs and boards on strategic change and transaction related matters.

Chris Boyes, partner and head of BGF in Yorkshire, said: “Rosie is an excellent addition to our team, bringing valuable local market insight to our regional proposition.

“Our investor team plays a vital role in identifying exciting and entrepreneurial businesses ripe for growth, and Rosie will play an important part in supporting ambitious companies that are eager to scale up with the support of an experienced growth capital investor.”

In 2025, BGF pledged £400 million to businesses in Yorkshire and the North East over the next five years. This builds on over £700 million already invested in the regions since 2011. With a presence in both Leeds and Newcastle, BGF plays a vital role in fuelling regional growth and unlocking opportunities for ambitious businesses.

Rosie commented: “I’m delighted to be joining BGF at such an exciting time, building on the many relationships that I have developed in the region over the last four years.

“BGF’s patient, minority approach provides a real point of difference in a market that is rich with ambitious and dynamic businesses. I’m really looking forward to working alongside Chris and the wider team to identify and invest in local businesses, fulfilling our own ambition to deploy significant growth capital across Yorkshire and the North East in the coming years.”

Recent deals led by the Yorkshire team include the multi-million pound investment into Blitz Hire Limited, the UK’s leading provider of specialist rigging and structural equipment for the film, TV and live event industries.

Blitz has become a trusted partner to many of the UK’s leading high-end film and television productions, with recent credits including Barbie, Bridgerton and Slow Horses.

The growth capital will support Blitz’s impressive growth trajectory, further securing its position as the leader in the rigging market, growing in adjacent markets and undertaking further strategic M&A to broaden its service offering.
