New research by BGF Ventures and Streetbees finds that the pressure of founding a start-up is ‘crippling’ for mental health and relationships. Despite the stress, founders remain adamant that self-employment is more rewarding than working for an employer. The myth of 100-hour weeks and ‘a sleeping bag under the desk’ doesn’t repel the magnetic lure of successful entrepreneurship.
